Don't worry too much about Graeme's diet and what lies ahead. My son is allergic to much more and has managed to have a normal introduction into life at school. Though I am greatly disapointed that the public school allows nuts (a big change from preschool), and feel that their policy should change, (I'm working on it) he is largely unaffected. We have also taught him what he's allergic to and he's very aware of what injesting one of these foods may mean. He would never accept food from anyone, myself included, without asking if the label has been read and if it contains egg, dairy, nuts etc. He has an incredibly healthy diet comprised of mostly homemade organic foods. He gets treats, like Rice Dream and mom-made cakes and cookies for b-day parties. All his friends have always gobbled up the things I make and most think he's lucky to always have his choice of desert at parties. When Graeme gets older, you should go the next step and have blood work done for more accurate testing. Be aware that peanuts are actually legumes, not nuts, and you should test for others foods in this category. With all the garbage that's put into our food these days, and all the junk kids eat, I've always looked at my son's allergies as a blessing in disguise. Because of him, the whole family has a proper diet and that's a sharp contrast to most other kids I see. Best of luck making the jump to Graeme's diet. Old habits are hard to break, but at least you have some great motivation!

I have a question???? I have an unusual allergy.

Floride: Each time I get it accidentely on my teeth, the allergy is 10 times worse.
First time: We lived in Fenton MO. They put it in the water. I lost weight to 105 pounds, could not sleep, was highly nervous day and night. Got pregant during that time, child was born with a learning disability. My daughter was about 4, her teeth look like they have thick glue stuck on them.

I think floride causes an irritation in people and wonder if possibly that is why so much violence in the cities. It sure caused irritation in me.

The second time, I could not stop throwing up. The dentist in that office told me, "Don't ever let anyone put floride on your teeth again."

The last time it was put on my teeth. (The girl cleaning them thought she knew more about me than I knew about myself.) But, I made it to a resturant about 9:30 in the morning, sat at a table, until about 1:30, sipping cola. I could not stand up, just lifting the glass with the cola felt like it weighed 50 pounds. I felt like I was sitting in the middle of a big fog. I thought it was low sugar. But, I didn't realize she had put floride on my teeth, because it was on my chart. I was so sick for a week, that I just had to stay home. I had driven home very slowly, but did go back over there and told them. The dentist called me a couple of time, saying, "It won't happen again." For sure, it won't because I would never go back there.

We then moved where we had a well. My health improved greatly, I was healthy again.

I had a beauty shop in a small town in Sullivan, MO.
In approx.1993 they put floride in the water. I had been drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day. Back to the same old thing.
Also, people all over Sullivan lost their hair. One lady never went to the Beauty shop lost almost every hair on her head. Another group of people had sores on their lower legs.

I believe that floride is a dangerous product. I believe that it causes cavities instead of stopping them. It is an acid.

If you notice, you may have 2 dentist in town, you put floride in the water and all of a sudden you have 5-6 dentist.

In this town, when people move here especially from a town that will not allow floride in their water, I have heard many say, "HOW come no one has teeth over here." One small child got a cavity on the front of his front tooth after having a floride treatment.

We need a new investigation into this practice.
